Comic Relief & The Little Princess Trust
March 21st 2025 is Comic Relief Day and we will be selling red noses from Monday 3rd March the cost of each red nose is £2.00.
On Red Nose Day we will be encouraging children to wear red and to take part in ‘Funky Hair Day’ where they can come into school with imaginatively styled or coloured hair. All we ask is for a donation of £1. We will also be selling doughnuts at a cost of 50 pence each.
This year at Ferrars Junior School we will also be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of The Little Princess Trust.
The Little Princess Trust was set up in 2005 in memory of Hannah Tarplee . When she was diagnosed with a Wilms Tumour in 2004 her loss of hair was especially traumatic. Her parents struggled to find a wig for her during her treatment and felt the most fitting tribute to the five-year old would be a charity dedicated to providing wigs to children who had lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other conditions.
Isabelle Ealey a year 4 pupil at Ferrars Junior School will be having her hair cut off on 22nd March so that it can be used to make wigs for the young children. She is also raising money to donate to the Little Princess Trust.
Isabelle also has a fundraising link which you can use if you would like to support the Little Princess Trust directly.
All money raised will be donated to Comic Relief and The Little Princess Trust.

Art Club
The Year 4 and 5 members of the Arts & Craft Club are creatively working on Lourdes Villagomez inspired butterflies. Children focus on showing symmetry on their butterfly, both when drawing the details on the wings and adding colour! Everything you need is some clear plastic to draw on using a permanent felt tip, a pair of scissors, a glue stick and some colour card and paper.
Feeling inspired? Why not to have a go at home? Can you think of any other animals for your design? Ms Jimenez and the club’s members are looking forward to seeing you made at home artwork!’
